Product Description
The Southport 1400 High Back Kwila Outdoor Timber Setting suits high traffic commercial environments, just like pubs. The Kwila timber tops have superb weathering qualities, and so are able to withstand the elements. They are extremely hard wearing, and built to last hence this makes them ideal for outdoor use.
The table L: 1400mm and W: 1400mm allows enough space such as for food, and drinks meanwhile still leaving space for diners to relax. So the tables top rests on four x four rugged rough sawn Cypress legs that resemble a square pedestal base. In addition, if the table is not kept under cover, an umbrella hole can be included for a little extra cost. Then set up your outdoor table and benches for the perfect beer garden. Settings with umbrellas for instance can pan out in a beer garden like private islands for guests to gather.
BENCHES
Benches are a great alternative to individual chairs on account you can seat more guests around the table. More importantly they won’t get as untidy either as there are less of them to contend with. Solid high back benches really do offer a comfortable seating spot which subsequently allows guests to sit back and be at ease during an outdoor gathering. Kwila, known also as Merbau, is one of the world’s most used timbers for outdoors. It’s rich dark red in colour by comparison to the paler Cypress wood we use for the legs and bases of the setting. Both timbers however are particularly resistant to termites which many other outdoor timbers regularly are not.

THE SOLID TIMBER MAN
This Southport 1400 High Back Kwila Outdoor Timber Setting is part of our The Solid Timber Man range manufactured from scratch on site at our factory in Queensland. All The Solid Timber Man furniture pieces can be purchased separately or Mix & Match to suit your needs. Predominately we use Australian grown Cypress timber along with other Australian timbers. This setting on the other hand is manufactured using PNG grown Kwila for the tops. Its Cypress frames have been fastened together with heavy duty bolts. That is to say unlike cheap imports which use flimsy screws that can’t be tightened and wear holes over time.
Cutek® CD50
Each piece of timber furniture from The Solid Timber Man range has been pre-coated twice with Cutek oil. Cutek is an oil based wood protection system that penetrates deeply into the timber where it works to control moisture from inside out. Likewise Cutek products do not peel off or crack. They do however impart exceptional long term stability to timber. And they also enhance the natural beauty of wood without obscuring its natural characteristics and features. Cutek® CD50 won’t form a film instead diffuses through timber controlling moisture from the inside;
significantly slows down the rate of moisture exchange between wood and the environment;
stabilises timber by controlling moisture for many years, minimising movement;
is not a film so does not need to be removed before recoating, greatly simplifying maintenance.
