The Southport 1400 Slat Back Cypress Outdoor Timber Setting is one we can recommend because we have one on our verandah at home. We’ve enjoyed gathering around it with family and friends for many years!
The square table has a large surface area which provides ample space for diners plus all the food and all drinks. No one is left out of the conversation when the table is square in shape either. After all there’s no dead end!
We chose the slat style bench because it’s easy to maintain requiring a quick lick of oil now and again. The simple slat back bench does not deprive you of any comfort either. The backs on our benches have been carefully angled, an unnoticeable inclusion not always found with a timber bench.
The Southport 1400 Slat Back Cypress Outdoor Timber Setting combines our Southport 1400 Cypress Outdoor Timber Table with four of the 2-3 Seat Slat Back Cypress Outdoor Timber Bench from the Solid Timber Man range.
You can switch the slat back benches for our backless benches or have a combination of both styles – works out the same cost! Backless benches are handy with children. They’re not restricted with a back and can hop off and on as they please.

This setting is part of our The Solid Timber Man range. We manufacture this range on site at our factory in Queensland. All The Solid Timber Man furniture pieces can be purchased separately or Mix and Match to suit your needs. Predominately we use Australian grown Cypress timber along with other Australian timbers fastened together with heavy duty bolts. This is unlike cheap imports which use flimsy screws that can’t be tightened and wear holes after time.
