Product Description
The A-Frame Kwila Outdoor Timber Picnic Setting is free standing. The bench seats and table connect securely to one another. The setting is robust and sturdy, making it suitable for outdoor areas where there could be a risk of theft.
We have 2 different style options using the Kwila, tongue & groove we interlock the boards meaning there are no gaps between each board or using Kwila decking leaving a 5mm air gap between each board. There is no disadvantage either way it comes down to your preference.
There are 3 common sizes but if you’d prefer smaller or bigger let us know.

By adding some extra length to the tables top we can make the setting inclusive for wheelchair access with an overhang. In addition an umbrella hole is no problem for us to include in the centre either. Extend the setting further with end benches to match!
Kwila, also known as Merbau, is one of the worlds most used timbers for outdoors. It has a rich dark red colour in comparison to the paler Cypress wood. Both timbers, finally and most noteworthy, are particularly resistant to termites which many other outdoor timbers regularly are not.

This setting is part of our The Solid Timber Man range manufactured on site in Queensland. All The Solid Timber Man furniture pieces can be purchased separately. On the other hand you can Mix and Match to suit your needs. Predominately we use Australian grown Cypress along with other Australian timbers fastened together with heavy duty bolts. Unlike cheap imports which use flimsy screws that can’t be tightened and wear holes over time.
Cutek® CD50
Each piece of timber outdoor furniture from The Solid Timber Man range has been pre-coated twice with Cutek oil. Cutek is an oil based wood protection system that penetrates deeply into timber. It works to control moisture from inside out. Cutek products do not peel off or crack. They impart exceptional long term stability to the timber. They also enhance the natural beauty of wood without obscuring its natural characteristics and features.
Product coated with high quality timber protective oil Cutek® CD50 ready for outdoors. Cutek® CD50 won’t form a film instead diffuses through timber controlling moisture from the inside; significantly slows down the rate of moisture exchange between wood and the environment; stabilises timber by controlling moisture for many years, thus minimising movement; is not a film so does not need to be removed before recoating which greatly simplifies maintenance.
