This Recycled Timber Table FO was our first recycled table and it’s been the precedent for so many more recycled pieces of furniture.
Its style could be best described as a farmhouse table, the Recycled Timber Table FO is simple, yet variations in the timber make it gorgeous. The Oregon timber used for the table top is good for indoors or semi outdoors (under cover).

The Recycled Timber Table B straightforward stainless steel frame contains the recycled timber top precisely. There’s an element of wildness with use of thick recycled timber for the top that exudes warmth and then it’s sleek frame says down to business.

We didn’t fill a run of holes, which were left after rusty bolts were removed, and they feature on top and give the Recycled Timber Table WT more character. Usually Oregon is a light salmon colour, this one we darkened with a walnut tint for something different.
The Recycled Timber Table WT has a generous overhang to allow one comfortable space each end. The pictures don’t show it fully, but the criss-cross legs have some imerfections – a trait of recycled timber.

The Recycled Timber Table BP top was chunky looking without the weight. The border on top is 75mm recycled Oregon, but the planks in between are thinner. The Recycled Timber Table BP is a whopping four and a half metres in length and over a metre in width, it’s massive.
The old age imperfections, scratches and nail holes, were left as features on top of this table, lots of imperfections and character which was evidence it had a previous life before it started its new life at Possum Creek. -
This Recycled Timber Table AB may not look like a big table, but with surface of 2950mm x 1500mm – it’s big all right!!
Once in it’s new home surrounded by crisp white chairs, the reclaimed wood top of straight heavy planks on the Recycled Timber Table AB are the focus point of the overall setting. -
An unusual batch of reclaimed timber was used for this stunning Recycled Timber Table TA. Apart from a few nails, it was relatively straight forward to construct and once coated with oil the natural age marks appeared in all their beauty.
A set of angled legs gave the table a less than usual look. We strategically placed them so clients chairs could easily fit around and not get in the way of guests seated at the Recycled Timber Table TA. -
When we have any blonde tinted furniture in our factory it looks like a ghost! Most of our timber tables are tinted red, walnut, or just coated with clear oil. Under this Recycled Timber Table BT coat of blonde tint was reddy/brown looking mixed hardwoods to begin with.
Double coat of blonde, then coat of clear to seal and end result a new weathered looking Recycled Timber Table BT made from salvaged timber!!
There’s no extra work in future maintenance of the washed out look, a tint for Cutek oil elevates that problem! -
It was fun creating this Recycled Timber Table BA in conjunction with a young couple who were choosing it as a wedding gift from their family.
Reclaimed Oregon lengths, sanded back to a smooth finish, formed the top which allowed lots of table space. Clever use of farmhouse 4 x 4 criss cross legs in mixed hardwoods gives ample room for seating around the Recycled Timber Table BA without restrictions to diners.

When our niece asked if we could make her a table to suit the dining room of her new home, we had no idea the Recycled Timber Table JB would turn out to be one of the biggest tables we’d ever build.
Her dining room was extremely long, but narrow, so she was having a lot of trouble finding a particular table to suit. We searched around for the right timber for the top, that ended up being massive lengths of Oregon salvaged from a demo site here on the Gold Coast and the rest followed on.
This table is so solid – a small party of people could dance on top of it…and probably have! -
We never know what timber we’re going to salvage, and quite often it comes complete with wire, nails, bolts and even old hinges still embedded or sticking out of it. To eliminate the danger of our tools hitting a metal object as we assemble, we run a metal detector over the timber. While old metal is removed, or smacked back in to the timber in some cases, we try and leave as many of the old age imperfections still present.
We get it, everyone is different. Because of this all our recycled tables are made-to-order. We encourage our clients to be a part of the design process. Meaning that each recycled piece can be custom designed to suit your preference of material, finish and dimension. -

The Recycled Timber Table HB wasn’t designed to seat a large number of people. Three down each side and one each end.
With crossed legs, benches tuck neatly underneath for storage which is a handy option if space is limited.
No apron on this table allows for chairs with arms to slide under easily. -
This Recycled Timber Table KK is industrial meets contemporary. Our client came to us with an image and said ‘Can you make something like this, but smaller to fit in our apartment?’
Match in a metal chair if you prefer or have a couple of miss matched chairs.
Mixing and matching makes dining sets versatile, and brings out an individual taste. The advantage is you get to use them for extra seating elsewhere in your living spaces. -
Old Oregon was sourced for this Recycled Timber Table SL top, complete with nooks and crannies that we were asked to leave as features on top.
Very simple industrial look completed with twelve robust aluminium ‘old navy’ side chairs. -
A rustic Recycled Timber Day Bed came about to match a recycled table we’d made for the client previously.
The arm rest at either end or both ends, doesn’t matter when they’re made to order.
We’ve reproduced this day bed with no back and was very practical ottoman. -
Reclaimed mixed hardwoods are a highlight of the larger-plank-size top on the Recycled Timber Table SB pictured. To keep costs and the weight down (because it was 5mt x 1.1mt with three sets of legs) we suggested using one of our regular in store timbers Cypress rough sawn 4 x 4’s for the criss-cross legs and the result was spot on.

For our client this was a sentimental piece of furniture. His Dad had stored a pile of exotic timber in a container on a local farm for many years (like over 60) and some time after he passed away he came in to ask if we could make him a table using some of the timber.
The timber species is unknown, best we can determine is there’s a couple of different types of exotic pacific hardwoods involved.
A simple coat of clear oil is all that’s required to maintain the Recycled Timber Table MN at it’s current home by the Currumbin beach front.

Together with a large table and six benches, the Yamba High Back Kwila Outdoor Timber Setting seats 12 people, generally more. The deep rich colour of Kwila used for the settings tops gives a warm and inviting call to be seated. The solid high back benches really do offer a comfortable seating area that subsequently allows guests to sit back and relax at an outdoor gathering.
Kwila, also known as Merbau, is one of the worlds most used timbers for outdoors. It has a rich dark red colour in comparison to the paler Cypress wood. Both timbers, finally and most noteworthy, are particularly resistant to termites which many other outdoor timbers regularly are not.

The Yamba High Back Cypress Outdoor Timber Setting is part of our The Solid Timber Man range manufactured from scratch on site at our factory in Queensland. All The Solid Timber Man furniture can be purchased separately or Mix & Match to suit your needs. Predominately we use Australian grown Cypress timber along with other Australian timbers fastened together with heavy duty bolts – unlike cheap imports which use flimsy screws that can’t be tightened and wear holes after time.
