4217 Recycled Timber Table was a project we did using old cast iron legs and frame that our client picked up at auction. The whole objective of the table was to make suitable for a communal table, one that everyone could gather around and enjoy for a while in a busy commercial precinct.
This 4217 Recycled Timber Table was made to order and can be reproduced to suit your size, style, colour or timber choice and depending on legs we can source if you haven’t got your own!

Product Description
4217 Recycled Timber Table was a neat job we did based around a set of really old cast iron legs our client purchased at auction. With some metal trimmed off, we then had the legs stripped back (sand blasted), further re-coated. In addition we selected a variety of mixed recycled hardwoods for the top. Square metal plates fastened the top to the base and tied it altogether.
The recycled table is now home in a busy commercial venue as a communal centre piece in Surfers Paradise. This out-of-the-ordinary table was fun to watch unfold and definitely not something you’d find in regular furniture stores.
It’s always enjoyable to create furniture with a clients input. The finished pieces are more personal than any item straight off the shelf.
RECYCLED TIMBER
We never know what timber we’re going to salvage. Often timber comes complete with wire, nails, bolts and even old hinges remain embedded or sticking out of it. To eliminate the danger of our tools hitting a metal object as we assemble, we run a metal detector over the timber. Even though old metal is removed, or smacked back in to the timber in some cases, we try and leave as many of the old age imperfections still present to feature as we did on the top of this recycled timber table.
We get it, everyone is different. Because of this all our recycled tables are made-to-order. We encourage our clients to be a part of the design process. Meaning that each recycled piece can be custom designed to suit your preference of material, finish and dimension. The tricky part will be the legs which will depend on ones we can source if you haven’t already got a set of your own!

Cutek® CD50 won’t form a film instead diffuses through timber controlling moisture from the inside;
significantly slows down the rate of moisture exchange between wood and the environment;
stabilises timber by controlling moisture for many years, minimising movement;
is not a film so does not need to be removed before re-coating, greatly simplifying maintenance.
