Product Description

Working closely with our client, we knew from the start that this Recycled Timber Bar Table AP had to be black to blend in to where it was going. It also had to be hardwood, and certain height to allow for bar stools she’d purchased.

This was a perfect example of where we encouranged our client to be part of the design process. She picked her colour, finish, material and dimensions.

When we finish in black sometimes the grain is lost from sight. This wasn’t the case with this recycled timber bar table. The imperfections of the timber are still there and in some pieces of timber there was no amount of black going to turn the colour. It just remained a dark, dark maroon.

We never know what timber we’re going to salvage, and quite often it comes complete with wire, nails, bolts and even old hinges still embedded or sticking out of it. To eliminate the danger of our tools hitting a metal object as we assemble, we run a metal detector over the timber. Even though old metal is removed, or smacked back in to the timber in some cases, we try and leave as many of the old age imperfections still present. They feature as you can see on top and legs of the table.

We get it, everyone is different. Because of this all our recycled tables are made-to-order. We encourage our clients to be a part of the design process. Meaning that each recycled piece can be custom designed to suit your preference of material, finish and dimension.
